June 2012

And they're off!

The summer is here and The Friends Of Boerne Library are out of the gate faster than I'll Have Another trying to win the triple crown!  Books sales, Wonderful Wednesday and book signings have all kept the FOBPL volunteers busy this past month. We sold approximately 725 books and 500 people came to see our wonderful new store!  Isn't that amazing?
To help get the word out, The Friends of Boerne Library has a new Facebook page!

Come visit and "like" us!  Leave a comment!

May 2nd was our 2nd Wonderful Wednesday and it was a great success. 120 people came to buy books, socialize and relax in our comfy space.

Ernie Laurel, Dan Basarich and Ann Liebner visiting and enjoying the day.

Mom and daughter found a cozy spot to read.

In addition to the FriendShop being open, Constance Kermes and her storytime families came over for a visit.

Scooby-Doo and little patron

The Little Listeners, for tots age 2 and up, enjoyed listening to Scooby-Doo while sitting on their carpet squares in the beautiful weather.

We had such a good time we're doing it again on Wednesday, June 6th.  "Bugs About Books" -  A special storytime  including puppets, tunes and treats starts at 10:30. Come join us!

On Tuesday, May 29th, the FriendShop hosted a book signing for Juanita Herff Drought Chipman.
